Microsoft Autocollage helps to create no-fuss instant collages using any pictures/photos of your choice. It saves the collage as a jpeg image. This programme is available to educators for free through the Partners in Learning Network. Just register on the site for full access to Autocollage and a variety of other free programmes as well.
This is a lovely site to create quick on-line animated movies with your class. There’s no need to log in and it’s easy to use. Just choose a background, some music, quirky characters, write the dialogue and voila! Dvolver will e-mail the link to your movie to whoever you want to share it with.
I have only recently come across this comprehensive website in my online travels, but it is already a firm favourite. It covers a wide range of age groups and even though we mostly use it for Numeracy skills, there are many other learning areas as well – Language arts, Health, Science and Geography. There is also a whole preschool section devoted to teaching animal names, seasons, etc.
I love using this website to download free sound effects! It is easy to use, gives quick previews to listen to and the small mp3 files download quickly. The sounds are useful for orals, school concerts, slideshows, online story writing and lots more!
